Echoing the classic poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, “The Spirit of Christmas at Notre Dame” celebrates the joy of childhood with a whimsical story for Fighting Irish fans of all ages. On the eve of final exams, first-year student Grace worries about all the papers and tests. But a magical ride around campus in Santa’s sleigh helps her recapture the carefree wonder of childhood Christmases past. This special Santa – inspired by Notre Dame’s iconic leader, Father Theodore Hesburgh – helps Grace discover how the spirit of Notre Dame evokes similar feelings of family warmth, enchantment and spiritual comfort.
